ASMR – An Espresso From Roast To Cup

If there is one thing...

I look forward to every day, its a quiet morning coffee and today I'm sharing that experience with you. There's clearly a group of folks out there who love these kinds of videos, and you may be asking what kind of video. Well, this is my first, and very possibly final, attempt at an ASMR video of a quiet morning coffee. For those who maybe aren't in the know with the lingo, ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. It's often associated with a "calming, pleasurable feeling often accompanied by a tinging sensation". I can't say I've been big on ASMR, but I do get the interest, and it was fun to get outside my normal video making routine and just do things a bit different. Plus, I never realized how loud the world was until trying to film a quiet video.

Since one of my most popular videos in the last year was a very simple video depicting my morning coffee routine, I thought this video of a very raw, simple, and uncomplicated coffee routine could be fun to experience. In true ASMR form there is no talking and no music, just the pure sounds of preparing a morning espresso. From a raw green beans, to a rich shot of espresso. I hope to convey the calming and purely beautiful nature of the processes involved, all done by hand. From roasting the beans on a Hive, to pulling a tasty shot on the Cafelat Robot, and everything else in between.

So, hit play on the video above and soak up the ambiance and experience of a quiet morning coffee from start to finish.
