Duomo The Eight – Distribution On Pins & Needles

I promise you...

this will be the last distribution tool review I'll do for awhile. It just seems like when it rains it pours, and recently a Duomo The Eight poured into my possession thanks to a lovely local espresso lover named Josh who was willing to part with it while I made a review. At the end of my last distribution tool review for the WPM ESPCUP, I asked for recommendations on other options I should try out, and this one by far the most highly requested in the comments. It seems to have developed a pretty loyal fanbase, or at least has a dedicated street team to market it on YouTube videos. But after looking into this $250 tool it didn't seem to be creating a lot of buyers remorse, so there must be something to it.

The Duomo The Eight seems to set itself apart from the other tools on the market by creating something that is more of a two-for-one option. The eight needles utilize the Weiss Distribution Technique, or WDT for short, to stir up the bed and break down any clumps. The spinning function, much like the OCD tool, helps also keep the grinds in the basket while also creating a nice evenly distributed bed of grinds, of course without the perfectly leveled surface.  So the question remains, does this tool actually as well as advertised? That's what I'm here to find out, so hit play on that video above and let's dive back into the wild world of expensive and nerdy coffee tools.
