Did you ever look at the Linea Mini...
and say to yourself, "I really wish this was smaller"? No? Me either, but just about a week ago the folks at La Marzocco Home dropped something brand new; the Linea Micra. If it looks familiar, that's because its more or less the spitting image of the Linea Mini. Even all the way down to the spec sheet. It includes dual boilers, an integrated group, PID temperature control, an internal rotary pump, and even the pre-brewing, pre-infusion, and stats access via the Connected Machine application.
So considering all the similarities, inside and out, it's got a price tag that's $2,000 less than the Linea Mini. This leaves me wondering about the future of the bigger, more expensive, but equally performing sibling. So in this week's video I'll be not only exploring my theory of the Mini's likely or possible demise, but also a side-by-side comparison to the Linea Micra, including it's performance, notable differences and some sweet, sweet espresso machine footage.
So if you're ready to soak up some espresso machine goodness hit play on the video above and let's brew this!
