The Aeropress has always been in this middle ground...
between espresso and a French Press. On one hand its brewed under pressure, and on the other immersion is also part of the program. It's never been a favorite of mine, the cup just doesn't have the clarity I look for in black coffee, or the complexity I look for in espresso. The Fellow Prismo has appeared to try to bridge the gap between the two in an attempt at making it even closer to espresso. I set out to find the answer to the question I'm most curious about; the Fellow Prismo, will it spro?
That being said I do carry an Aeropress when I travel. Its light, durable, and relatively inexpensive. Plus, in a specialty coffee pinch it gets the job done. Yet, I recently saw the Fellow Prismo on Instagram and it piqued my curiosity. I've always wanted to have a passable espresso-like shot on the go.
