Since the Lelit Bianca landed on my bar...
I have had a lot of requests to put it up against my daily driver, the La Marzocco GS3MP. On their face they appear to be two very different machines at two completely different price points; there's a $4,500 difference between them. But, going head-to-head, spec sheet to spec sheet they actually don't appear all that different. So now after completing a review of both machines (found here and here), its time to get to the video that many folks asked for, the GS3MP Vs. Lelit Bianca V3.
Both machines have dual boilers, PID temperature control, a commercial group design, the more reliable rotary pump, and finally, the ability to manually control the brew pressure. This ability, known as 'flow profiling' has been highly sought after in espresso machines, both home and commercial for years, due to the way it can completely change how a coffee is extracted and perceived in the cup.
Yet, as you maybe expected there are also some differences buried inside each machine, from layout to materials, and of course engineering. So in this week's video I'm finally doing it, its time for the La Marzocco GS3MP vs Lelit Bianca V3 video to drop, and for us all to see how these similarities and differences manifest in the one product they produce, a shot of espresso.
So if you're curious to see how this all shakes out, hit play on the video above and let's brew this!
