but I'm actually very risk adverse. So of course crowd funding isn't really my thing, it feels a bit like a gamble, and when I saw the Weber Workshops Indigogo campaign for the new Key grinder I was a little apprehensive. But I found myself powerless, I had no idea how much of a sucker I was for a conical burr, single dose grinder with a drop dead sexy design. So of course I backed the campaign way back in June 2021, which now in February 2022 feels like a lifetime ago. So after all that waiting DHL finally dropped a package on my porch, bound in Weber branded tape, and so began the much anticipated Weber Key unboxing.
I haven't actually done a video like this before, but as someone who gets an immense amount of joy from unboxing new products (and I don't think I'm the only one) it seemed like an experience worth sharing. From there we'll go into my first impressions of the Key's build quality, design, and notable features, like the simple yet ingenious 'Magic Tumbler', as well as my only concern with this very functionally focused, yet extremely aesthetic piece of coffee equipment.
So if any of this sounds like something you want to see, hit play on the video above and let's get to this Weber Key unboxing!
